Jim Carpenter

Jim Carpenter is a Connecticut-based singer-songwriter, author, and record producer. He is the chief songwriter for The Hoolios, The CarLeans, and the Southern Fiction Band, with twelve albums of music to his credit.

As a writer, he has authored three collections of short fiction and a novella Black Narrows. A fourth collection entitled Forsaken, Florida, as well as a new CarLeans’ EP tentatively titled Melodrama, are scheduled for release in March.

Much preferring the company of the CarLeans (Sarah MacLean, Corina Malbaurn) when touring or onstage in general (he is a practicing introvert), Jim performs intimate solo shows when the venue feels right.
