NIGHTINGALE’S SUMMER SONGWRITING & SONG WORKSHOP
June 24 to 26, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday-Wednesday with Friday Night June 28th Teen Open Mic Performance, 7-9p
For grades 6-12
Join the Singer-Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Peter DiGennaro, MA as he leads this inspiring and interactive Nightingale’s Summer Songwriting & Song Workshop at Nightingale’s Acoustic Café in Old Lyme. The program is a multi-day, supportive, instructional, collaborative workshop for teens, grades 6-12 who want to learn the art and craft of songwriting culminating in a Friday night showcase concert! Over the course of three days, participants will learn the fundamentals of songwriting from concept to completion of songs-to include Crafting Lyrics, Melody, Harmony, Bridges, Verses, Rhythm & Rhyme to the actual showcasing the participants’ songs in a Special Teen Open Mic Concert. Fee: $50/week Includes materials: Journal, Songwriting Notebooks, Workshop Outline and Instructionals. Scholarships available.
