Bruce Thorndike

Bruce Thorndike is a  longtime Connecticut River Valley musician known mostly for his work in the band Old Dog New Trick, something that he put together with his son Mitch Thorndike back in 2012.  ODNT, as they are known, play up and down the river and along the shoreline. Mostly a cover band these days, they spark up quite a dance vibe. Typically Bruce’s original songs are sprinkled in their sets. But sparsely. This Saturday night, January 14, Old Dog will be doing an all original show at Nightingales Acoustic Cafe in Old Lyme from 7-9 pm. Rumor has it the New Trick will be sitting in for  some of it as well and they’ll be bringing out some never-heard gems! Come on down! Seating is limited! Ten dollar admission.
