About the event
Colin Hallahan is an award-winning, radio-played singer/songwriter. Deeply self-driven and creative, he learns every lesson he can from the world around him. This inspires original music that is introspective, passionate, even humorous, and, most importantly, the purest representation of his personality. He uses his songs to allow others the same experience of self-expression by telling stories that are universally and intensely human.
Colin started out playing classical music on the flute - performing with a variety of notable Orchestras/Wind Ensembles such as the Thames Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Purdue Jazz Band. It wasn't long before he discovered his passion for singing and writing music, a passion which inspired him to leave the Aerospace Engineering program at Purdue University to pursue music. He interned for six months at legendary recording studio Sonalyst's Powerstation New England, where he worked with a number of notable artists, including the legendary jam band Gov't Mule on their Grammy Nominated record Heavy Load Blues.
Currently studying Music Therapy and Songwriting at Boston's Berklee College of Music, Colin continues to play shows as a solo acoustic act, duo, and with his full band, and is a privately contracted songwriter/producer. His musical taste is eclectic, including covers from every decade since the 1960s as well as original songs which have been acclaimed by professionals at Berklee and in the industry.
Free parking readily available along adjacent Lyme Street. Refreshments available. Admission $10/pp. Seating is limited. Advance ticket purchase recommended.
