About the event
Old Lyme's Jim Lampos is a singer-songwriter who has gained international recognition for his music. He has toured nationally, been featured on network television including VH-1, and has received airplay on hundreds of stations. His albums and tours have received accolades from the New Orleans Times Picayune, Newsday, and the Concord Monitor among many more. Rick Koster of the New London Day called him “A songwriter of the highest order.” He has released 9 albums, and his latest, “Occulations” has been riding high on the Roots Music Report charts for 24 weeks straight, debuting at #1 on the prestigious NACC (North American College and Community) chart. The Day calls his new album ”an intricate, ambitious collection of tunes with fresh twists on traditional folk blueprints and yearning melodies.” Radio Guitar One says: “If you are a fan of the heyday of folk music and the master songwriters of that time, this record is a must listen. All ten tracks are quite wonderful and thought provoking (see: Occulations - YouTube.) Jim Lampos is truly a poet trapped in the body of a musician.
